IV Velmad World Championship 2011

The moment to beat your friends has arrived. You will need to be ready for tense and exciting games. The Fourth Velmad World Championship is here! Interested players should post here giving his ID.

The Championship will be like the first one with simultaneous double match rounds. In case of necessity, some 3 players groups will be created.

For each round we will take the first player in the Velmad ranking (in that moment) and the last one. Then the second with the player over the last one, ...

All bugs and possible new features or modifications must be accepted as just another game event. I will try to not affect championship games with modifications and features but no guarantee at all. Bugs should be reported, as always, but again there is no guarantee I could do anything about them.

The best two players will play another game between them (changing sides).

If each one of the 3 players in a group wins 1 game then we will calculate each player's score summing his points and subtracting that of his enemies in both of his games. The two players with highest score will play another game between them (changing sides), and then we will use their 2 games as in an ordinary eliminatory to decide who passes.

If one of the 3 players loses both games then remaining 2 players will play the extra game.

Gentlemen, I am desperate! Since last weekend Velmad runs unbearingly slow. It takes about a minute to build up a screen and about an hour to complete one turn. Hm, unplayable. And I tried it from different places, with different computers. Does anybody know what this is?

If I can't fix it, I'l quit for the time being.

Sounds like a server problem. My opponent and I have the same issues. Somtimes I click on a ship and the map screen comes right up, but mostly it comes up as a white screen for up to 5 minutes before the map and ships fill in.  Ok if you have one or two ships, but with 2 games and 2 fleets, it is becoming unplayable.
