Ok, so the teams could be:

Tinvalle, EDB, and Gordo, on one side, and Thaddeus, Mike Sholo, and Galvez, on the other.

Does this sound good to all?

The Admirals will be Tinvalle and Galvez.

The scenario could be either Virginia or the symmetrical. Which one do you guys prefer?

Teams sound good. What is the symmetrical scenario?

Eric

The symmetric scenario, as you can see in the library, is one in which both the number of ships, their cathegory and power as well as the position on the wind are symmetric for both sides.

Greetings,

Here is a beginner question...I thought even in losses you still can gain points on the Captain's Rankings page...

I've had a couple of scenarios end with me on the losing side ( through no fault of my own, of course!! ; ) and although I got the loss added, my total points have not changed at all...

Thanks
Brendan

I dont know exactly the ranking mechanismm but i belive that the points each captain wins in the battle are added to the ranking account plus those of the team distribuided by the aldmirand.

Please, give me an scenario name and both teams' list, so I can set up the game and you start playing.

If I have no answer, tomorrow night I will choose them.   :)

The post #14 by Galvez looks good to me.  Teams look fair and the scenario is ok with me.

HELLO, Hello, hello, the speaking trumpet has changed.

if I see another ship in bold black letters, what does that say about the message?
It is beyond 150 m. so it isn't to me, yes?

Bold black letters simply mean that ship is sending a message (flags or voice). If you see the bold black letters then you should see the message.

The game is ready. We will use delayed sails as in ranking games.

Ok we are ready to go. I see that I have London, so I will give an initial order.  I think I can send this by PM to the English players (Tinvalle, EDB & Gordo), instead of setting up a fleet thread since it is only 3 v 3.

I will use flags and the horn, but I think any beginners can ask questions during the game since this is like a learning game. Especially about the signals! Everyone ok with this? This way we can get more experience with the signals too.
